Eastleigh Youth & Community Trust is delighted to welcome an impressive new team, including Executive Director Carolynn Crane.

Carolynn took the reins towards the end of 2021, working hard to re-establish the charity after a difficult time during the pandemic. The team are taking a fresh approach to the staple objectives of the trust, taking time to evaluate them and give them new purpose.

The Pavilion on the Park team are passionate about providing an inclusive and affordable hub that energizes and enriches local wellbeing.
Their mission is to deliver inclusive activities and engagement for the community by the community having a positive impact on everyone who gets involved.

Their revamped ‘One4all’ activity programme is one of the key strategies that Carolynn has implemented to fulfil this mission. This programme runs throughout the week and caters to a range of ages and abilities. The team thoroughly enjoy delivering the programme, seeing the difference they make and happiness it brings.

The Pavilion have planned a host of events throughout the rest of 2022 including ‘Disco Bounce’ -their new monthly children’s bouncy castle disco and ever popular free family fun days on the park. As the charity turns 60 this year, the team are busy planning the birthday celebrations set to take place in November.

Other important community projects that have been set up include a monthly ‘Cops & Coffee’ morning, where the community have the chance to meet the local police force to discuss their local policing needs. The team now also offer referral agency services to Eastleigh Basics Bank – providing help to those struggling for basic food and other supplies in these difficult times.

The Pavilion on the Park is now a registered third party hate crime reporting centre on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary. If you or anyone you know has been the victim of a hate crime or hate incident, please talk to the team. The staff have received specialist training from Hampshire Constabulary.

All staff have received training to become dementia friends. The team want to help their community as much as possible and further training has been arranged for the future.

Their wonderful team are so excited for the future of the Pavilion of the Park. Why not drop in and say hello?
