Welcome to the Pavilion on the Park

The Pavilion on the Park is a thriving community centre in the heart of Fleming Park, dedicated to helping people in Eastleigh lead active, flourishing lives.

Since opening in 2008, we have been managed by the Eastleigh Youth and Community Trust. Our mission is to energise, enrich, and support community life by offering a wide range of inclusive and accessible services.

We are here for everyone, but we take particular pride in our projects that support young children, older people, and individuals with additional needs.

Our spacious, multi-purpose venue features:

Two large halls
A dog-friendly café
A Sensory Suite
A Changing Places facility
Several welcoming meeting rooms

These spaces make us a popular choice for venue hire, serving local residents, community groups, businesses, charities, the NHS and other essential services.

Community is at the heart of what we do – whether you want to start your own group, host an event or bring people together in a beautiful parkland setting, we are here to help you make things happen.

Our friendly and experienced team, including dedicated staff and volunteers, are First Aid and Dementia Friends trained.

Passionate about building an inclusive and connected community, we are here to help everyone live well, feel supported and stay connected.

Our Mission

2025 03 06 POTP 173 of 252
We exist to energise and enrich community life in Eastleigh, so that everybody who comes through our doors can live a more active and flourishing life in connection with other people.

At the heart of our work is the management of an inclusive community space—a welcoming hub where a wide range of people with a wide variety of needs and interests, can come together to enjoy everything on offer.

Through our community programme, we create opportunities for social, recreational, and cultural engagement, fostering an environment that challenges, inspires, and supports individuals. In this positive and empathetic space, everyone is valued for their strengths and talents, and this reflects the inclusive society we want to see.

Beyond our doors, we are committed to forging strong partnerships with local businesses and individuals, working together to enhance lives across Eastleigh.

Our vision is to make Eastleigh a place where everyone can thrive, connect, and flourish.

Our Story

The Eastleigh Community Trust was established as a charity in November 1962, founded by Councillor Godfrey Olson.

Over time, the mission expanded to better serve the local community, leading to its rebranding as the Eastleigh Youth and Community Trust in 2014.

A significant milestone came in April 2008, when HRH The Duke of Gloucester officially opened The Pavilion on the Park, marking a new chapter in the trust’s commitment to supporting Eastleigh residents.

In 2011, we launched Cycles4All – our inclusive adapted cycling project. For almost 15 years, we have been providing people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to ride a bike that best suits their individual needs in a beautiful parkland location.

In 2024, we were delighted to receive a £445,000 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund to support our work in delivering activities for people with disabilities and the wider local community. Thanks to lottery players, we were able to expand our existing projects to involve new people. Our ongoing five-year project is called ‘Together We Flourish’ and we will support our community to do just that.
