Our work with the community simply wouldn’t be possible without the energy, enthusiasm, and dedication of our amazing volunteer team.

In 2016, we were proud to receive the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service—the highest honour a voluntary group can receive in the UK.

We are also committed to the Disability Confident Scheme in both our employed and voluntary roles. Volunteering with us is a great way to build your CV, grow your skills, and make a real difference in your local community. Take a look at our current opportunities to see how you can get involved.

Current Opportunities

Patio Gang Members

We’re always on the look-out for more eager volunteers to help transform the patio outside the cafe at Pavilion on the Park.

Our aim is to turn the Blackbird Cafe patio space into a haven of flowers, fruits and veggies that can better serve the community.

If you’re keen to get out in the fresh air and work outdoors to help us build planters and prepare the space for some exciting new gardening activities for the community, please get in touch.

Sports4All Volunteer

We’re looking for a friendly, motivated person to help facilitate our weekly Sports4All sessions on Thursdays from 10.30 – 12.00

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about participating in team sports and games alongside our beneficiaries – many of whom have additional needs. You don’t have to be overly sporty and no professional coaching experience is required – these sessions are all about getting active and encouraging others to do the same.

If this sounds like you, please get in touch!

Current Opportunities

Lunch Club Volunteers

Every week, we hold two community lunch clubs on Monday and Wednesday respectively.

Perfect for anyone looking to build their work experience and learn basic hygiene and customer service skills – if this sounds like you, please get in touch!
