Volunteer With Us
Our work with the community simply wouldn’t be possible without the energy, enthusiasm, and dedication of our amazing volunteer team.
In 2016, we were proud to receive the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service—the highest honour a voluntary group can receive in the UK.
Volunteering with us is a great way to build your CV, grow your skills, and make a real difference in your local community. Take a look at our current opportunities to see how you can get involved.
Current Opportunities
Cycle Support Buddies
We’re on the look-out for some friendly volunteers to join our Cycle Buddies scheme.
Cycle Support is a new weekly scheme that seeks to encourage nervous riders to get back on the saddle, with the company and support of more experienced riders, who can help guide and build confidence. The sessions will be led by the Pavilion Cycles team, so no prior training is required.
If you’re a friendly, confident cyclist who can spare a few hours of your time on a Thursday afternoon, we’d love to hear from you!

Current Opportunities
Patio Gang Members
We’re looking for some eager volunteers to help transform the patio outside the cafe at Pavilion on the Park.
Our aim is to turn the Blackbird Cafe patio space into a haven of flowers, fruits and veggies that can better serve the community.
If you are free on Thursdays and you’re keen to get out in the fresh air and work outdoors to help us build planters and prepare the space for some exciting new gardening activities for the community, please get in touch.

Odd-Jobbers
We always have a list of ongoing little projects from odd jobs and DIY to technical modifications.
Please let us know if you would like to offer some time to get involved with the day-to-day running of the centre.

Current Opportunities
Little Pixies Volunteers
Our Little Pixies stay and play sessions take place on Tuesday mornings from 9.30am to 11am and are often overrun with excitable tots!
To better serve our young visitors and give them more one-on-one engagement, we are looking for some enthusiastic volunteers to help us run the sessions.
If you’re good with children and/or are working towards a childcare certificate, this could be the perfect opportunity for some work experience.

Current Opportunities
Eastleigh Repair Café Volunteers
We are keen to recruit some new volunteers for our monthly Repair Café, which takes place on the last Saturday of each month from 1pm to 4pm.
If you’re a dab hand at sewing, we are in desperate need of a new textiles repairer to join the team.
We are also looking for a general admin volunteer who can help sort paperwork and keep guests happy during the repair process.
Current Opportunities
Admin Volunteer
With so much happening in our centre, there’s often very little time for our team to sit down and get the admin done.
We’re looking for a volunteer who can help us with minor administrative duties such as printing, non-confidential data entry and taking phone messages.
If you’re well organised and friendly, please get in touch.
Current Opportunities
Drama Volunteers
We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and approachable volunteer to assist with our One4All Drama Club for people with additional needs.
This activity is all about encouraging creativity and movement, so we need someone energetic and approachable to work with the group’s lead, Anna.
If this sounds like you, please get in touch!
