The Eastleigh Community Trust was established as a charity in November 1962, founded by Councillor Godfrey Olson.
Over time, its mission expanded to better serve the local community, leading to its rebranding as the Eastleigh Youth and Community Trust in 2014.
A significant milestone came in April 2008, when HRH The Duke of Gloucester officially opened The Pavilion on the Park, marking a new chapter in the trust’s commitment to supporting Eastleigh residents.
In 2011, we launched Cycles4All – our inclusive adapted cycling project. For almost 15 years, we have been providing people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to ride a bike that best suits their individual needs, all while enjoying the benefits of our beautiful parkland location.
In 2024, we were delighted to receive a £445,000 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund to support our work at the centre in delivering activities for people with disabilities and the wider local community. Thanks to lottery players, we were able to expand our existing projects to involve new people. Our ongoing five-year project is called ‘Together We Flourish’ and we will support our community to do just that.
