We are delighted to welcome a brand new power-assisted Fun2Go VanRaam Tandem Bike to the Cycles4all fleet, which has been generously donated to us by the Simmons family.
The bike is named in honour of Mark Simmons, who passed away late last year. Mark’s son, David Bell is a volunteer here at the Pavilion, best known for leading our Cycles Surgery events with his extensive bike repair know-how.
The touching memorial plaque on the bike’s basket which bares Mark’s name was handmade by David, using stainless steel plates.
Today, the Simmons family came to officially hand over the bike to its new home and we couldn’t be more grateful for their generosity and support.
We are all looking forward to seeing riders take this new bike out for a spin around Fleming Park, enjoying the outdoors in Mark’s memory.
